WELCOME RECEPTION Join the PHYSOR’08 Welcome Reception on Sunday, 14 September – Take a boat trip on Lake Brienz!
The Organizers of PHYSOR’08 are honored to invite all registered PHYSOR’08 participants and guests to a welcome reception sponsored by AREVA that will take place on the LÖTSCHBERG steamboat on Sunday 14 September
The LÖTSCHBERG was built in the Escher Wyss shipyards in Zurich in 1914 and extensively renovated in 2000/01 (the most originally renovated ship in Switzerland). She has a length of over 56 meters, a width of almost 13 meters and is powered by a twin 2-cylinders steam engine generating 450 PS and driving the two paddle-wheels.
The ship will depart from Interlaken Ost at 05:00 pm and cruise for two hours the Lake Brienz up to Giessbach and back to Interlaken. On board you will enjoy the breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps and a romantic sunset over the mountains. Snacks and aperitifs will be offered during the cruise.
By registering to PHYSOR’08 as a participant or as an accompanying guest you are automatically invited to the Welcome Reception.
